Get My Compassion Score
Compassionate greetings! You have entered the first page of the Compassion Measurement Tool (CMT). The general purpose the CMT to provide a compassion score for people so that they can have some measure of where they stand in their compassion development. Your participation will help contribute to a data base of understanding about the development of compassion.
Research behind the development of the CMT began in 1996. The CMT is based upon the Theory of Compassion Development. There are

When you click "Get My Score" you will begin the questionaire which should take from 20 to 35 minutes to finish. There are 13 demographic questions followed by 50 easy to answer mutiple choice questions. Clicking "Get My Score" signifies your truthful and voluntary participation in using the CMT in order to obtain your personal compassion score.
RISKS and BENEFITS
There are no foreseeable risks or direct benefits from finishing this survey. It may result in some personal self examination around the concept of compassion as well as a measure one can use to evaluate personal compassion development.
No personal identifying information is asked in the survey. It is sent to a secure data base separate from the researcher and all information is kept confidential. You are asked to complete a personal identification number. You should remember this number, and the date, if you wish to compare the results of the CMT you take now to one you might take in the future. You also need this ID number if you want a more detailed analysis of your compassion score. Your results - without the ID - will be used, tabulated with other’s results, in both research and publication.

Your participation in getting your compassion score using the CMT is totally voluntary and it begins when you click on "Get My Score" at the bottom of this page. If at any point you do not wish to complete the CMT you may simply exit at the bottom. If you are a student of Professor Hoisington, participation or nonparticipation in no way affects your academic standing.
Clicking on "Get My Score" signifies that you have read the above information, that you freely volunteer to add information to the data base, AND, that you will provide accurate information.
